The Society of Business Economists (SBE) surveyed for ITV showed that:

- 56% believe that house prices could fall by up to 20% from the top of the market;

- 20% forecast that property values could slump by as much as 30%;

- More than half the experts from banks, building societies and industry said house prices would fall by between 6% and 10% in this year alone;

- 44% believed that the housing market will hit rock bottom in 2009.

I was going through my old school reports the other day - my Religious Studies teacher wrote “Richard contributes little and not very often.” Charming.

35 or so years later and I’m still guilty as charged: my contributions for this blog have been somewhat infrequent. As a consequence I am slipping down the rankings. If you are looking to climb the search engines, whether you have a website, a blog or both you should contribute a lot and very often.

I’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Social Networking for businesses

MySpace, Facebook and dozens of social networking sites are springing up all over the place; they are of course meant for just that… social networking. A lot of Internet marketers recommend those of us in business use them to market our businesses as well. So I did… until our eldest daughter (14) said “Dad… I’m not being rude but I don’t think Facebook is the appropriate place for you to advertise your business. Whoops… ’street cred’ alert!

So I’m sticking to business networking sites like Ecademy.com and LinkedIn. Is anyone still using Freedom Rocks?

Everyone using the Freedom Rocks system through 2006 will have made money, however 2007 and 2008 will have been a devastating experience. Only suckers buy leads!

Is the pound strong or the dollar weak?

The pound looks strong… $2.05 to the pound today. However the pound is only strong relative to the dollar. If you are still following the Freedom Rocks system you are probably feeling sick. It was bad enough in September… have a look now:

Royal Connections?

I had a ‘very interested’ prospect for my Breeze business today: a chap called Charlie Windsor from London filled in the form for my Residual Magic eBook and asked me to phone him on a London number. He put on the web form “I’ve been waiting for the “right” job for a long long time…This sounds very interesting - please give me a call.”

I was about to phone him when I smelled a rat… ‘Charlie Windsor’? I checked the Buckingham Palace website and sure enough… same phone number. And it’s not even April 1st. There’s nowt so queer as folk.
